Overview of Seminyak

It suits couples and style-conscious travellers who want beach days, great food and a livelier evening scene, while still being close to the airport and South Bali's sights.

Practical Tips for Indian Travelers

Indian Food

Indian food is easy to find in South Bali — Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Sanur and Ubud all have good Indian restaurants, with vegetarian, Jain (on request) and halal options.

Temple Dress Code

A sarong and sash are needed to enter temples (usually provided or rented at the gate), and shoulders and knees should be covered.

Getting Around

Use ride apps (Grab, Gojek) or a private driver; metered Bluebird taxis are reliable. A private car with driver is great value for sightseeing days.

Money

Carry some cash (IDR) for small shops, warungs and temple donations, though cards work at most hotels, malls and restaurants.

Drinking Water

Tap water is not for drinking — stick to bottled or filtered water, which is cheap and available everywhere.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Seminyak questions

Common questions from Indian travelers planning a Seminyak trip.

Is Seminyak good for Indian travellers?
Yes. Bali is one of the easiest and most welcoming destinations for Indian travellers, with Indian restaurants, vegetarian and Jain-friendly food, visa on arrival, and plenty for couples, families and groups.
Most travellers combine Seminyak with other parts of Bali. As a guide, 1–3 days here works well within a 5–7 night Bali trip; we can tailor the split to your interests.
Seminyak is more upscale and stylish — boutique shopping, premium beach clubs and a stronger dining scene — while Kuta is busier, cheaper and more beginner-surf focused.
